Fairy House Making:
RULES:
1.)Because fairies and gnomes are very respectful of nature, we must keep that in mind while building. Use only natural found resources to build. Be respectful of other animal habitats and living plants. The outside world’s floor is usually full of discarded treasures we can use to build! Things like sticks, tree bark, pine needles, and grass are great for building!
2.) Remember our houses will be temporary, because fairies and gnomes tend to stay only a night or so in any one home. So if you come back and your home is gone, that’s okay! It means we are good to build another one! The best part of fairy houses is you can build them again and again, and you get better every time!
3.) Be patient with yourself and know that the fae are not picky creatures when it comes to a place to lay their heads. They will love you for any help you give them.
Now go forth and build!
Tips:Find a strong stick that does not bend easily to use to make the holes for your less hardy sticks and building materials (you will break less of your foundation sticks this way)
Grab a basket and take a walk to collect your materials before building. Then settle in and create.
Sometimes if the ground is too hard, adding some water will help soften it. A day after rain is a great time to build!
